Question 1

What is Sage Direct?

Accepted Answer

Sage Direct is a person-to-person tipping and payment platform. Customers can tip or pay service stars directly, and recipients can request payments and send invoices. Sage Direct is not a bank; payments are processed by licensed payment providers.

Question 2

Does my tip go directly to the person who served me?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your tip goes directly to the service star who looked after you, through their own connected payout account.

Question 3

Do I need an account to send a tip?

Accepted Answer

No. Guests can tip or pay by scanning a QR code or opening a payment link, without creating an account. Creating a free account lets you keep all your receipts in one place.

Question 4

How do I start receiving tips and payments?

Accepted Answer

Sign up, set up receiving, verify your identity and connect a payout account. You then get a personal QR code and payment link to share with customers.

Question 5

How do I pay with Sage Direct?

Accepted Answer

Scan the recipient's QR code or open their link, choose an amount, and pay securely by card or another supported method. Any service fee is shown before you pay.

Question 6

Is Sage Direct secure?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Payments are processed by trusted providers such as Stripe using secure hosted checkout, and Sage Direct never stores your full card details.
